    rebarrel Marlin 336

    Who could do a rebarrel of a Marlin 336 lever action - any satisfactory experience of such a job?

    Any competent gunsmith could complete the task, they are more expensive to do as the barrel needs to be profiled and a dovetail cut to accommodate the mag tube plus drilling and tapping for sights. Can't help with any experience but I did look into it and it was going to be in the neighbourhood of 1200 with a good stainless barrel blank.

    be ok if you wanted something a bit different. Otherwise its buy another one really.

    What are you going to rebarrel it with, love those guide guns in 45-70!?. lots of smake`em down and bowl em over.
