Thread: Refinishing carbon fibre stock

Got an early model Ken Henderson carbon fibre stock and looking to take a bit of the shine off it as it's quite glossy. So the plan is to try to give it more of a matte finish by either -

1.Matte spray clear coat over the top of the gloss

2.steel wool/wet sand shine off and try to keep even.

Plan is to partially Cerakote stock once I do the rifle, and funds are more available.

It is one of the stocks with a textured for end and grip if that makes a difference.

Ideas?
