devcon steel is a 2 part mix that is used to fill holes in pistons!
the stuff sets like, well, steel.
it is a very good bedding material as it has practly no shrinkage as it sets, they also make an alluminium and a titanium mix, i mite get the titanium next time as it is very light, but bloody expencive!

Now painted black...green was a base to put a paterned black over but just went black in the end.

this was just an excuse to use a barrel I picked up cheap....so figured a cheap build was in order. under $500 for all the bits includeing the reamer (6.5x6mmRemAI) and it shoots the 140gr pills at 3K like a dream

SKINNY, whats not special about a loupie? or is that the point, its not special?
i use loupold for no other reason than their durability, and after sales support. no open sights so i need it to hold up to severe conditions and abuse.

I use a Loupy too mate, but on my old A-Bolt! A Swaro on top of your rifle would look mighty fine.

cases, 22-250AI, 243AI, 7x57,6.5x6mmRemAI and 6.5x284 (last three give an idea on case capacity)

I think Id prefer the longer neck on the 6mmAI.
Love the lathe D, its a ripper. Do you moly coat Leathel? Have you thought of HBN?

Picked up this old girl for next to nothing. Made in 1954. Wouldn't even cycle was so rusty.







$30 on rust bluing consumables, a new stock from the states, and a new sight bead, and good as new.

That shotgun looks great. Nice stock.

Some awesome work on that shotgun, When I was 14 my dads mate gave me a old side by side and Its fore grip kinda blew off half way through opening weekend so I sellotaped it back on and kept using it till that Sunday night I decided that I need a new one and since I liked building stuff I thought I would have a crack, any way it took me 6 hours working on it and although it doesn't look great it worked which was the main thing.
