    Special steel HR 8620 AISI

Doe anyone know where I can buy any HR 8620 low carbon nickel chromium molybdenum alloy steel in NZ

There are a few places like Wakefields and Steel and Tube that come up with it mentioned in a google search, but they don't seem to have had it for a number of years

Looking for flat bar or plate around 30 to 35mm think
Don't need a hell of a lot but happy to buy a decent chunk if that's what it takes to get some

Just thought that there might be someone on here who's in the steel or engineering trade who might know of some

    Cheers

Second this, in my experience they either have or can get in whatever you want. Its just a matter of price.

What are you making with it and why the need for a specific alloy? Just curious.

What do you need the material for? What properties are important?

If you can find the properties you need in a grade that is more commonly used in pressure vessels you'll have a bit more luck with ex-stock.

Fineline Services in Taranaki keep a lot of pressure vessel grades in stock and can water jet or laser cut to size if you want to save on getting your item to near net shape.
