A loooong time ago I was given a 22 by @ROKTOY ?
Been used as a home kill gun for a bit I think.
The main issue was it blowing holes in the edge of the brass every couple of shots.
Had one of these years ago and worked out the problem.
The bolt striker and firing pin has assembled incorrectly as I had it and it allowed the firing pin to really give the chamber a bollocking.
Never quite got around to it of just didn't have the nerve, also kept changing my mind on repairs.
Bit the bullet the other night and pulled it to bits. The barrel was a PITA. Just tight enough to be a nuisance.
As I've never pulled one out I have no experience so maybe they are all like this.
Welded it up last night and dressed it back.
Polished the chamber with some 1500 wet and dry today when no one was looking.
Pics before and after.
Middle pic was before polishing. You can see the transition between the weld metal and the old stuff.
Probably reassemble tomorrow after I've finished my jobs at work.
