    Is that 2.7kg scoped and suppressed? they are listed as ~2.55kg bare?

    My Montana is 2.722kg with hardy suppressor and Leupold 3-9x33 ultralight and 14.5” barrel. I too would have thought the hunter model would be a little heavier

    Yep, chopped barrel which helps, but these stocks have a heavy rubber fill in the stock and grip which drops a good few hundred grams. I just jammed some pool noodle foam back in to keep the noise down. Poor man's ultralight

    Nice, I think I was looking at hunter specs, how much weight did taking that foam out save on your Montana?

    Mines a hunter, cant remember exactly but pretty sure it was 350 odd grams worth, definitely significant. more than the weight of the wee vx3 that sits on top. Think i put like 10 grams of foam back in to replace it.

    The sceptic in me wants to say they used a heavy fill to justify the extra cost of the montana's composite stock. The barreled actions are identical as far as I can tell
