    Tips on re-blueing an older gun with paste?

    Just got some birchwood casey perma blue paste, Anyone got some tips for me?

    Get all the old finish and gun oil off. Steel wool is your friend. Also I think it sets better if you warm the parts first before applying.

    Yeah I just got some to fix up my new ar15. Tips suggested to me, warm with a bunsen burner, de-oil and also no finger prints, and you want fresh steel.

    The liquid is better than the paste. Follow instructions. Keep well oiled after its done as it will rust like any unprotected steel would.
