    Totara stock

    Ok folks

Having been waiting for boyds to drop the price of one of their stocks. 50 us cent form3 weeks so I can import it..... Decided bugger ya and I'll make my own

Been a long time since I started a project that I want to look good at the end not just serviceable. Started out wih a totara railway sleep that had been creosote 20+ years ago and lying around mums woodshed and now my shed.... Table saw a flat plank off, saber saw an out line and get stuck in with the files. Will ideally be a left hand cheek weld, custom length of pull left hand thumbhole stock to it a right hand cz455 action. Use a 22cal heavy bull barrel so channel need to be open enough if I want to swap but main use will be with the 17HMR, hope the forstock will be long enough to cover the whole barrel and tuck in behind the suppressor.

    Pictures to come!

What's the rules with the 'pistol grip' got a ati fiberforce on the 10/22 so figure if there is a 'bar' from the bottom of the pistol grip back to the rear of the stock it's all ok for a cat?

For a bolt action there are no issues with pistol grip being freestanding.

On a bolt action you can do whatever you like, MSSA rules only apply to semi-autos (thats the SA in MSSA).

You could put a 100 round drum mag on it too!

Great news regarding stock. As far splitting.... Well shit happens, it's only a 17HMR so recoil is minimal. Got a matai railway beam I could use next or a big chunk of rimu wharf timber but it's full of sand and damn it kills the lathe tools and files quick

Not worth trying this idea with freight but thanks for the offer! Got proper trees I have access to and half a shed full of timber that needs turning into something / ANYTHING so I can get to the back of the shed

We use rewarewa for brake blocks on 36mw generators.
    Soaked in tallow, then used.
    Rewarewa doesnt burn.
