    WECSOG quick-attach Versapod adapter.

I like the design of my $37 chinese knock-off Versapod bipod much better than my Harris bipods. One thing I don't like about it is the attachment method, it is QD in theory, in that you can attach/remove the bipod itself quickly and easily, but it leaves an annoying lump attached to your forward sling swivel. I hate having anything unnecessary attached to my rifle so I decided to make some alterations. 10 caffeine and boredom fuelled minutes with a dremel later, and I have this:

Slide on, spin big nut 5-6 times, and it's tight. Takes all of 5 seconds to attach. I'm going to replace that giant nut with a smaller wingnut tomorrow.

End result, just as stable as it used to be.

Just a quick trick that takes no time and costs nothing if you want to make your versapod or knockoff more user friendly. It's ugly but it doesn't permanently alter your rifle.

The pin is a super-tight press fit - I had to hammer it in. Chinese manufacturing tolerances! The pin and the bit it presses into are stiff as hell. I can't make it fall out or bend, playing with it in the living room. I'm going to go to the range and actually test fire it tomorrow.

I was looking at that but it required modifying my stock and getting a pin made up, and it also seemed like a potential weak point in the stock if you dropped the rifle on the pin.

I'm going to make a spigot on the lathe and epoy it into the front of my stock. I like the threaded idea though. Maybe I'll look at that too.

I think Norway has a mate that makes threaded spigots for the Versapod. From memory they are designed to screw into the swivel stud hole at the front of Blasers. They're pricey though.

    EDIT: Photos added.

Around 80E for the Vektor one.

The pin in the front of the stock is the superior option in the long run.

You would only need to make a pillar of sorts with an internal thread. Machine some relief sections around the outside for the glue to sit in, drill a big hole and fill it with lots of epoxy and push it in.

I got one of those versa-pod attachments but couldn't get it tight on the T3. So I got this:
Leapers Swivel Stud Picatinny Slot Adaptor Kit [TL-BPAD1] - $24.90 : NZHUNTER.COM, Online Shooting Supplies - Wholesale Prices

    and then one of these:
    150-611 Compact Picatinny Rail Adapter

Hello everyone, sorry to dig up an old thread for my first post. I was just wondering if any of you were able to install a versa-pod spigot onto your T3. I have a T3 in 7mm and the original stock is great. Usually with other rifles (Remington) I have to upgrade to a HS precision etc. Anyway, I have both the Versa-Pod and a Knock-of and want to use the pin instead of the block. Just seems like the T3 stock does not have much "meat" up front to install. If any of you have a pic, I would like to see it.

    Thanks again.

    Here is my T3
