Has anyone had their bolt and action nitride treated? Who does it? and any cons?

Nitriding provides surface hardening with some specific steels. For all the expense involved (assuming your rifle is the correct steel) there is little, if anything, to be gained from it. The wrong type of steel can lead to hydrogen embrittlement which can lead to disastrous results. Stick with what you have.
Both dlc coated and nitrates but mine were done from the manufacturer the seem to run a lot smoother than their none coated equivalents
