    That's an awful way to build a 'safe', the hinges need to be waaaaayyyyy better protected than that. I can get those style doors off in around 30 seconds, minimal noise and minimal damage and I've had to do it a couple of times in the case of the dreaded 'really well stored keys' at mate's places. The dogging bars to prevent the door being levered off don't tend to stop things being flexed and can catch on things if you're less than careful...

    A better method is to hang the hinge pin internally, and on the hinge side use a piece of angle as part of the frame. The rest of the frame as a _;- section that the door closes on. If that makes sense... I can probably draw up a sketch of that but I'm sure if you're skilled enough to build a compliant safe you can sort out an internal hung hinge...
