I had a mauser in 243 that did the same. Also shot the 85gr Varmint out of it. It also grouped really well with 95gr Hornady SSTs

It doesn't have a rounded crown no. It's a Mossberg, a cheap little rifle but good enough with the right ammo and being realistic about how far to shoot.

I'll have a look for some SSTs.
