    Swap 55vmax for 53vmax

    I have several hundred 55 v max 224 that I would like to swap for 53,

    Hey Rob, if they are unopened boxes, some gun shops will happily swap them over.
    I know Reloaders and Serious Shooters have done so for me in the past.

    I'm sure there is a post somewhere about the 53gr vmax. I think you will struggle to do a straight swap for the 53.

    Besides 2 grains, whats the difference? Are the 53s more accurate over the 55s?

    53 has a sweet BC for a small pill better than the 55

    Yep, all my 223's like the 55's, but wanted to try the 53's, as BRADS said, better BC, also, I'm just about to load for my mates 222 and he shoots 50's at the moment, and the 55's might be a bit like a rock!!

    Anyone getting really good groups out of AR's with the 53's?

    Not in a AR, but the 53's are an amazing little bullet. They carry more energy and better ballistics than the 55.
