We should perhaps pause and consider that. Start with a thought for the victims at Aramoana.

There is a tabular list of mass killings in NZ on Wikipedia, but which unfortunately does not detail type of weapon used.

Perhaps someone who knows could contribute such facts?

Regarding the Aramoana Massacre, what seems pertinent is that...

    (1) Gray could have done it purely using any firearm, from a .22 semi to an SMLE to an "MSSA".
Pause for thought: Anyone here ever had just a .22 bolt action pointed at you by someone you didn't trust?

    (2) Mr Gray made threats to kill in the days prior to fully going off. No action taken.
Lesson: always act on a threat to kill. Let the cops decide if it is the drink talking. You may not be the only one at risk.

    (3) Mental health issues noted. Fails first part of "fit and proper person" test.

Most of Gray's victims were killed with his 22s AFAIK, only a few with the AK.

Do you have a credible online source to be quoted quote for the crime/firearm type facts?

That was from a quick 10minute google. Mostly media articles. For credible, first-hand sources, you'd need to find he coroner's reports and/or court documents.
