That's fairly high on the stupid scale I reckon
Sent from my workbench
Damz thanks for the heads up. Heaps of current the 18650s.. Dam i wounder how a .17hmr would go, might be nastier as they seem more solidly closed than a .22.
The thought of a dead shorted 18650 in my pocket scares me more than the prospect of a live round cooking off!
Ive seen a mates drill battery catch fire in the drill he was using. We called it the DeFault after that.
Those Li-ion and especially Li-pol cells have a very low internal resistance which allows a much higher current to flow, more than 10 amps. So that's about 40 Watts for a brief time until the ptc kicks in and causes the circuit resistance to increase thus limiting current. I think they are great batteries but one must treat them with respect, be safe
have to be the most common bullet to go thru washing machine due to that exact habit ,growing up there was always a little pile on shelf above washing tub.
Never heard of that before and will never keep them loose again.
That is scary as fuck. I wonder how much power they lose without any "focus" to use the blast to push the projectile out if you know what i mean.
Interesting. We've all seen a bunch of movies where some wily hero puts ammo in a frying pan to use as a distraction or some such. But we also know how BS Hollywood is when it comes to guns though. I wonder how much force something like a 308 would have going off in a pocket?
More to the point did you have a change of undies in the wagon for the trip home :P
I had a neighbour a while back that was floggin my firewood. I did think of drilling a hole in a bit and stashin a live round in it.
But I thought better of it in the end as it could of gone bad
