I chased up the Police 0800 # and they told me to get in touch with Nelson FA Officer who is closest to me as Blenheim has no one
I get this back today

Maybe shafted and told my rifle is not worth what it should be or what ???
Pleased to hear (maybe not pleased to hear) of anyone else in same boat - as this is new to me

But I have been a tad sidetracked last 3 weeks with mates passing and his farm sorting etc

I guess the word custom goes out the window with the exclusions listed in the link, so whatever a BAR 300 is valued at will be the price offered.

No you are not alone. There are an aweful lot af AR15 owners out their who have built up their rifles using good parts, now we will be fucked over with their value and we are apparently told we have to hand in a std trigger if we are claiming a match trigger was used. Fuck me I need to buy a whole complete now prohibited AR in parts to accomplish that as I brought all the good stuff to start with and assembled it.

I said early on its got to be worth $7-8,000 surely its up there with a blaser/sako of similar spec???? if not worth more.....

Don't let them wear you down, it would probably be the only Custom Shop Grade 6 BAR in New Zealand, which was once a great country.
