The "exposed hinges" are no issue and have nothing to do with security. Like my converted ATM safe, there is a heavy metal strip that runs down the vertical face at the hinge end and the door sorta clips behind it. You could cut the hinges off and have got nowhere.
Fair call. I've never tried to crack a safe, so wouldn't have a clue.
