Limiting the number of firearms someone can own. I guess that's why they brought in the registry

Thanks Beavis. I have signed up for the updates and will definitely be making a submission. Beyond that I will be encouraging as many as will listen to do similarly.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

It doesn't yet, it's incremental change AKA slippery slope

And now I have just received COLFO’s suggested feedback for modification into an own submission. The bones of a good start.

Most of it will land squarely in the 'for' category. It will only get read in it's entirety because it is from COLFO. Anything else without significant change will also get lumped in with it.

Good on you Beavis for posting the link. It does somewhat surprise me that everyone on here hasn’t already received personal notification due to being a member of of COLFO, SSANZ or a couple of other organisations that have already supplied the link.

Likely because most aren't, to our selfish shame and proven history of lying down because "it doesn't effect me."

What Ardern and co did in the wake of Ch-Ch was a warning shot, so to speak, that the majority of firearm owners didn’t really take heed of. What is currently happening over the ditch due to what recently occurred there is another warning shot that we should pay attention to. Don’t be a lazy apathetic individual. Read the Arms Bill and make a submission and get your fellow firearm owners to. It doesn’t take much effort and you can bet your last dollar that plenty of anti-gun types will.

The irony is that the lazy apathetic people you are appealing to are lazy and apathetic

Will submitt but can't say I'e seen notable changes from multiple submissions in the past 30 years. It's not hard to become a conspiracy theorist with an apparent concerted effort against legal firearm owners in the comonwealth.

I know why they want to limit reloading gear but it will just be another PITA for licensed firearm owners. On the other hand I don't mind sharing the pain with all the self centred who have supported other anti gun legislation. The most depressing is telling Australians (mostly non gun owners) that their "Great" laws wouldn't stop another event.
