Glad the F&G rep pointed out that most of the harvestable meat had be taken - and good point about the fast food rubbish!
Doesn't matter if it's clap trap or not it's the shit that is willingly published by the media and read by the masses who then form their continuing negative opinion.
And clap trap or not the remains were dumped in a publish place. The fact that the nicer bits have been removed is irrelevant. WTF is wrong with people?

A hell of a lot of duck shooters are alcoholic fuck wits who blast away at the ducks. Don't harvest the meat and are well pissed by 9am. Dumping ducks has been going on well before I was born.

well then as a responsible FAL holder you should be first on telephone to report the drunkin behaviour so the licences of those few are removed....
in 30 plus years of duck shooting ,including 5 as warranted ranger,I have NEVER seen drunkin behaviour...I can ASSUME some bevvies were being consumed by folks shooting evening close to vehicles but dont know for certain....
it has been illegal for many years to leave gamebirds on ground/water so these bottom dwellers can be procecuted.....twice actually as ranger ALSO has powers under the littering act..... but we seldom hear of anyone being caught.
tip here::: for anyone breasting out birds and putting the remains in otto bin (as I do most years) cut the wings n neck off.... anyone seeing the carcase will see its been utilized . the big issue with this lot of bird dumping is the where it was done...IF IN FACT it was done there and the ANTIs havent scavenged them from elsewhere and put them there to take photos...has happened before.

Someone who did a mildy stupid thing has given a soap box and microphone to the antis to have a go at what is largely a healthy and sustainable pastime. Jumping from littering to banning duck hunting is a commendable leap, and makes full use of the proverbial 15 minutes of fame.

Shit when I served my apprenticeship, we would sit in the smoko room at the freezing works listening to the clatter of pellets on the roof after every bang from the swamp, drinking our tea and munching on our pies, wishing like shit we could be out there with them!! Instead of working!!
Never thought one lot might come through the window and break a cup or worse?

And what if the group of "hunters" you are supposed to report is mostly the people you are supposed to report these things to!

Yes, but a couple of morons gave them the stage to do so. Firearm ownership is not a right, and is under attack from many quarters. Everyone that uses a firearm is an ambassador, and needs to behave accordingly or our sports and interests are going to be eroded out from under us with the assistance of our own team.

Hunters hit women with errant pellets.
Said hunters have yet to come forward (last report?)
    Hardly ambassadorial behaviour methinks.

Unless of course somehow it was the women's fault....
A few more entries on this thread should see that start to turn in that direction maybe?

Ultimately we are all responsible for our own and others safety.
But some people are very inconsiderate and do not think of others and their pursuits.
You see people swimming in the area zoned for water skiing.
Fisherman out on boats the first weekend of May.
We don't go near Taupo during Ironman or around Taupo cycle race.
Avoid hunting rivers when they open for fishing.
School holidays long weekends consider influx of trampers.
