My question to the wisdom is.
If you're absent from your property overnight or for say 2-3 weeks....are you required to store your guns in another FAL holders safe or just leave them under lock and key at home?
I'm the only FAL holder, so......:wtfsmilie:

There is nothing in the Arms act to say if you are away from your Residence that you are obliged to do anything more than keep your firearms under lock and key.
Giving/lending/storing them at another place for 30 days + , just kicks in the registery obligation .
Yes but that's not much of a Hassel,better than having yr place robbed from the 31st day.Cops on yr case,lose of fal,no insurance.Just a thort.

Don't forget, we're not supposed to keep the gun and ammo safe keys together. I only learnt about that recently. It is written in the FSA guide, whether it's legislation or not I don't know. You might be able to rip it off the wall eventually but from personal experience, you wont get in it easily without a lot of effort and tools. If you have tools then why bother even trying just use the angle grinder on the safe.

might be legal but easily opened with a shim, when my house was being built i needed to turn the builders power on to do some work on the placed myself. one piece of coke can and under 5 minutes to get in.

I'd like to see appropriate punishment dished out to thieves, ie forty lashes. Then law abiding citizens perhaps wouldn't have to go to such extremes to keep their stuff safe.
