    @Tigerbarb, best to get the info you need from the Police website.

    Go to https://www.police.govt.nz/advice-se...rms-and-safety

    Scroll down to Firearms Safety, and click on the Storage link

    Teh secure storage guidance doc has specific info for passenger ferry trips.
