    Hearing protection

What type of ear protection do you guys use in the field?
I am on the lookout for something less bulky than my current electronic earmuffs, Maybe something that fits inside the ear, but can give a decent level of protection.
Will only really be used when shooting 300 wm with brake on.

I love these, I bought about 5 pairs, but to be using a 300WM with a brake I'd be using muffs.

Plugs and Muffs on the range
Supressors on the two most used in the field for repeated shots during the day, eg wallaby etc
Nothing on the pure hunting 30 06 as I see less that 1-2 shots per outing fired.
    And
    I don't own a rifle with a brake.

Like I said, I have a pair of electronic earmuffs, but they are a bit bulky and not very comfy over long periods .
I may just use them any way, as I anticipate having time to deploy them in open country

Must admit when in the field I do not use ear pro however, at the range or duck shooting I use sonic defender ear plugs.

Thanks, that is the sort of thing I had in mind.
Do you know where they are available from in NZ? Australia looks to be the nearest according to website

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

That's why I suggested the low profile muffs?
