    Mail Order Form

Hi all, not sure if this is the right spot, but how long does it usually take for a mail order form to be accepted? I bought a rifle recently, handed in the form on Sunday, and I'm just wondering. My mate got a bang stick, and he said it's taken longer than a week to accept it. According to ChatGPT, it can take upwards of 3 weeks. Does anyone have any info on this?

    Cheers

I think I just goes to the seller, should be emailed directly from the Police, I just shared it in this case with the buyer AR7 so he could show it at the shop I was getting it delivered to so they were happy.

Depends what way the wind is blowing. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 weeks depending on the area, officers involved, whether they've had their morning coffee, whether they're busy, whether you're the squeaky wheel, whether or not they like you.

Seller gives you the form (or you get a blank one online) -> you complete the form -> you drop it to the police -> receiving officer sights your FAL and forwards form to arms office -> officer at arms office rubber stamps form (eventually) and forwards to seller -> seller can then send your stuff.

It's a pity that they appear to have stopped emailing the purchaser as happened in the past. This at least gave you an indication of how long
since you dropped off the form. I mean how hard can that be? Nowadays, crickets

The last two forms I have done they have been signed approved and emailed to the seller by the time I had arrived home from having my ID verified.

I had also been cc'd in the communication to to seller.

Bad time of the year, these Arms Officers end up relocated to busy holiday spots, know mine told me he may get one day a week if lucky to handle his normal duties
