He experienced some difficulty, but it is very interesting.

Some thoughts:

- Can't imagine any Firearms Officer would let anyone currently or very recently in a criminal gang have a FAL (But am I wrong?????).

- Or is it just that someone can straighten up his act, get this recognised, and then be allowed to re-enter normal society including having his right to own firearms restored?

I have also been told that gang members get their "clean girlfriends, sisters, cousins etc" to do the firearms course and obtain a licence. Then they have ready access. Awful scenario open to abuse.

And yet a friend of mine had to move his firearms out of the house when his partners brother was staying as the brother was an 'ex' gang member wih a record....

Then there was the case just now of the depressed farmer. Gave his key away to a mate when it got tough now has his license revoked!
I guess they must look at each case individual and sum it up from there.
What I don't get is of the three at the bottom did they our did they not have there firearms license revoked?
Also of those three it reads as though one got his license after an offence? How's that work?

So of the 29, 14 aren’t or weren’t actual gang members....

Apparently 14 still have there license? Dam how's that work......so if they go on and commit an offence and god help us if it's a massacre then the perpetrator has a licensed firearm, which in turn makes you and me Joe public all tarred with the same brush. I stopped a ute below my house spot lighting couple months back. Rifles in the ute with three guys. I was suss they might be gang members by what they were wearing. Rang it through with details etc but cops failed to attend. Rural cop rang me the next day to say ute was registered to a know gang member. I thought it would have a high priority .

Much easier, and I guess safer, for cops to look busy while just persecuting members the law-abiding public. They're taking @Sideshow's good advice.

It almost appears like this situation was allowed to happen.
