    wrong, the wild animals are owned by the crown. The land owner can give permission to shoot it and then who ever lawfully shoots it owns it.

    However being in Taupo and poaching is stupid and lazy. Living so close to public land means they have more opportunties than most.

    But as he didn't give the required permission I'm pretty sure that the said animal will be hanging in his chiller.

    It will be required as evidence in any future court case, so best cut up and frozen.
