    Rifle bolt storage

So Ive got my Firearms license check tomorrow. A quick question please. Ive got a Spika gun cabinet with the upper small lockbox separate from the guns in the lower part.. The upper has ammo in it. Do I put the rifle bolt in the upper with the ammo , or do I need to store separately?
    Just a bit unsure.
    Cheers in advance.

It is entirely practical and lawful to store the bolt in the rifle

You could,if worried, store them in rifle but add a trigger lock....just don't loose keys.

I would leave the bolt in the rifle , but I would store the ammo in an entirely differant place to the rifle.

That would be in alignment with the regulations. Good idea.

Cheers Guys. Ill put the bolts with the rifles, separate from the ammo.
Ill let you know what they say or if they comment on it.

Yeah keep the bolts with the rifles, seems to be a fair few rifles out there missing bolts.
I keep mine together in the safe with ammo stored elsewhere, never had a comment about it during inspections

Not required but I keep my bolts entirely separate in a separate location. If god forbid some lowlife did manage to somehow get into the house and find gunsafe and hack it up with a angle grinder or something I'd sleep easier knowing said lowlife isn't now burgling my neighbour's place with a functioning rifle
