If you have a problem with what I post, perhaps you could take it up with the authors or their editors.

Dude you're already blocked by me

What I'm asking is - do you ever look yourself in the mirror and think "I'm not helping the world, I'm dragging it down"?
Or are you on the spectrum?

Are you, in sum total, a minus?

When you resort to attacking the messenger and not the message, you have lost the debate.

Yeah, didn't think you'd have any level of insight enough to see how you're perceived by others

Sistolic can be a "bit" rough, but knocking him for bringing to our atention the negative news that is out there is hardly something to complain about in my veiw, as it gives us a chance to react to it if we hadent already seen it if aproprate. And as a big picture thing his cut and paste of the text saves us giving the bastards another click, marginly reducing the atractivness of such articals to editours

How do you positively confirm it was shooting? I’m struggling to work out how someone could be so certain when your laying on a surfboard (limited field of view) with the ocean in your ears.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

I was thinking the same thing. While surfing how would you know it was s shot? There is no bullet hole in the water, there may be a splash but they are probably there anyway, and would you hear a distant Bang clearly enough over the waves to identify what it was or where it came from. On a glassy lake or smooth water yes, but in surf?

No evidence provided at all and a gun involved (maybe) with not even a sighting of any firearm, and no legitimate reason to believe them and no one to get a response from to make it balanced....sounds like a perfect STUFF'd news story.

That's a very valid point @kiwijames - What's to say it wasn't a sling shot or something like that?

It's very distinctive when someone is shooting in your direction, very sharp crack.

One of my hunting mates family is from taharoa,i have been there with him hunting once ,it’s definitely called the Wild West for a reason, apparently boats get warning shots fired on them on a regular occurrence especially if they have divers on board, area is only accessible by boat unless you know the right people..

According to what I read in the Waitomo News today....I don’t think it’s a sling shot...

Here and again we have an appalling situation if it is true. Without a collective voice we are limited to comments on a forum and no way of publicly saying " We responsible firearms owners are shocked at this criminal act".

I went fishing off the Southern end Rocks many times as a kid
Before the Iron Sands project and a road into there - you could get in by Landrover but we used horses, back with split sacks full of Snapper - most 12LB +
My sister taught at the Taharoa School - not an easy lot to teach I might add, take my hat off to her as it would have been a challenge
