I have just this morning registered all of the firearms in my possession as I have applied for a permit to possess and knew that was going to be an activating circumstance so decided to bite the bullet and I had my youngest home so she could help an old technophobe. Initially I couldn’t get in because RealMe needed some second level of authentication that wasn’t available so I had to call them to fix that up. Then there were five firearms among what I have that I was not initially able to register. Four (all the same type of single action revolver) were because the model was not found when I entered the manufacturer (make) and one (a side by side 12guage) was because the (Spanish) manufacturer was not in the system at all. So I had to call the registry and get them to help. The four revolvers were sorted pretty quickly and I was able to get them registered while the fellah was resolving the shotgun. In the end he created the manufacturer in the system and registered the shotgun for me. In summary it took quite a while and there was a degree of faffing about but we got there in the end. I would add that if my daughter was not here I would have become very frustrated and likely would have given up at the RealMe hiccup stage.

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Pardon my ignorance... but wouldn't your revolvers already be recorded on the b-cat system?
Why would you need to re-register them?
Surely that will only confuse them more than they already are.....

Endorsed firearms are a separate system/database. When you register your firearms you must do all of them, endorsed and all.

Great - not only have we got a new clusterfluck sorry I mean registry we are still persisting with the old ones for endorsed firearms which we suspect on public comments are at best 80% or so accurate? Wow.

Eh. To be honest I'd rather they do it the way they've done rather than copy-paste in the endorsed data which has a lot of mistakes on it. This way it's on the FAL holder to get correct and also theoretically can pick up any mistakes as it goes and fix them. Hopefully would be more accurate that way.

One of the issues with that theory is the number of people that tried to correct the B, C and E lists and it was never done. I remain and hope to be pleasantly stunned, but I'm not holding my breath on it look at it that way. And to be fair that's not anti-firearms-regulator staff that's years of experience of trying to fix Govt department database accuracy as the poor bastard using (and in some cases paying) for the 'service' to be correct and accurate...

Accuracy doesn’t seem to be as important as getting the numbers up, based a on a recent report from a friend who just had to register 150 firearms he has become a verified user to check the accuracy , after I warned him about the mistakes in my relatively paltry number when I registered
He had a cursory check and found 22 duplicates and is going to now doing a deeper dive to see how many serial numbers are incorrect make models etc.

    Thats was my whole point.
    Endorsed are already registered.
Registering them again is only going to cause problems with 2 separate systems.
Cant see their logic in any sense....

A Friend of mine has just done 97 registrations, and when he rechecked he still has 97 in the system, except about 25 are missing,
replaced by duplicates of his other entries.

Haven't done the registration exercise yet. Having done a Police mail order form for ammunition I contacted FSA to check whether this was an activating circumstance for registration. Did so because of all the conflicting statements made regarding this matter. Was pleasantly surprised when referred to Arms Officer and he stated " no, this is not an activating circumstance to trigger registration". I repeated the question to him and he again confirmed this was the case. So not in a big rush to go through the process yet though I know I'll have to do it sometime. overall it was quite a pleasant interaction with both the initial receptionist and the AO. Both were quite happy to answer a few questions, very helpfull. Registration system, still not confident about it.

Most if not all modern cellphones have a recording function to record phone conversations. Be wise to have this function running while on the phone with the registry office and/or AO officers, your lawyer will thank you.

Sooooo, i have an up coming activating event...I have to buy a shotty for my son, as you do. If fact I have found one, but holding off picking it up until the RealMe thing is finalized. I applied about two weeks ago. Obviously this is a factor that will delay being able to register my firearms. How long are Realme approvals taking?
