I think we all need to get used to this time warp as being the new normal. And it was not a waste of my time because I organised myself to have something to do whilst waiting. It's about you getting organised before you call and getting your mindset right that this will take a minimum of one hour, which is totally acceptable for any Government Department.

Nah I call bollocks to that! By and large government departments are significantly over staffed with many inefficiencies within their operational processes. They need to be cut back and streamlined but I don’t think the middle and upper management within the organisations have the skills or the motivation to do it as they are happily sucking on the tax payer tit. They should be held accountable just as they would if they were in the private sector.
