    12 Gauge ammo help

Not sure if this is the right place but can any one go into the shed and measure a 2 3/4 shell that has been shot. I want to over all length of it once it has been fired. Also could you knock out the primer and measure how wide the flash hole it please.

primer pocket is 6.1mm wide. and a 2 3/4" shell is that long, or 70mm

Yep, it is shorter when crimped, it needs the chamber length to fit the case opening, you can put 3" shells into a 2 3/4" chamber but DO NOT fire them as there is no room for the crimp to open.
