So i managed to track down my dad's old shotty after many years of searching but i know nothing about shotguns. I am keen to shoot it occasionally so can anybody give me any details on this model? Anything i should look out for before firing it and what shells should i look at. Being old i guess i shouldn't be putting high powered modem rounds through it.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Wow I haven't seen one of those for donks!
If the gun closes nice & tight without any slop,and the bore is not too badly pitted, it should handle any 32 gram load of lead shot.
Avoid steel shot and 36 gram loads.

Yep she's nice and tight :P and bore is pretty good except for a bit of pitting in front of the chamber. Looking forward to giving it a blast.

Be a fun gun for slugs
Just check the choke before attempting to put slugs through it, you might not like the end result:(:whut:
