fabarm semi shotguns

Hey everyone.
After some info about the Fabarm semiauto shotguns floating about.
There is the H368's and the H4's, (few of those about) then a jump from the XLR's to the L4's. Not so many 2nd hand and obviously newer models and are getting up up into competitor price brackets
Much of a difference?
Preferences?
No money to buy one so whilst great deals are awesome, no can do.

I have a H368 and bloody love it, if given the opportunity definitely take it. So nice to shoot very soft on the shoulder.

Thats what i am hearing danny. Soft shooting for sure. hearing the franchi raptor gas guns are pretty good too but bugger all of them about.
I can see this happening one day in the dark future. Dont put tons of rounds down range so an inertia gun just isnt needed.
better to get something with less kick and give the old A5 a rest

I go through quite a few, went through 1 and a half cases last season. Wasn't a problem cleaned before opening day, then once after the first case and then at the end of the season just as a preventative measure.

Had 2 XLR's, ono new, one second hand, had trouble with both not retaining ammo in the mag tube. When fired released more than one round from mag. Know of another doing the same thing. Wouldn't buy another.

I had one of them also but can't remember which model, nice to shoulder and shoot but used to jam a lot despite cleaning and trying different ammo. I got sick of the thing and traded it in.

interesting to hear of the issues some have had, mine runs like a sewing machine with cheap as chips Falcon steel and lead also with dirty rio clay loads #7
think I need to check the model of mine as I have a niggling feeling it's the XLR

i think i was the one who convinced dannyb how nice they were, pretty sure gadgetman has one too.
i love mine !!!

Yup peer pressure :D mine is the H68 XLR haven't found any ammo it won't reliably cycle. Much much lighter than my old winchester 1300 and yet still softer on the shoulder

I got mine (368/Lion) very second hand. Previous owner put 10's of 1000's of rounds through it and said he'd never had a misfeed. Liked all ammo.

I had an H368 and it was an absolute lemon, biggest piece of shit I've ever brought, went back 3 times. Had it from new, 2 openings in a row it broke, actually broke. Never again, took a big hit when I traded for my Benelli. In all fairness to the distributor though, the after market care was mostly good despite having to use Humping and Fisting as the intermediary. Ended up dealing directly with the distributors gunsmith.

I have a left hand H368. Brought it when they first came into NZ. It wouldn't cycle clay bird ammo initially so I'm pretty sure the importer had the gas ports enlarged slightly and it has been fine ever since. They are definitely a soft shooting gun. I have however just brought a Benelli M2 but the Fabarm is still a great gun.
