Thread: Is "light pitting" really bad

Have used and mate is still using an old winchester pump with pitting. It's had thousands of rounds through it and has had no problems. It's all been lead though it since the first owner and I think the original owner put steel ball bearings amongst other things through it ,which probably explains the pitting! I'd probably say if you do get it put only lead through it and you should have no problems.
