Thread: Advice needed for a timid/shy huntaway pup

So i got myself a huntaway pup today hopefully for work all going well. It was the runt of the litter and hasn't been socialized at all, was still with its mum when we got it, i think its around 2 months old. Its very timid just wants to go sit in a corner and doesn't look at you. I was playing with it this afternoon and managed to get it out of its corner and come to me with some treats.
Is there anything else i should be trying to do or shouldn't do. I read on the net you shouldn't encourage the dog to sit in the corner so i guess a cruel to be kind technique, ignore it if its being shy and praise it when i comes out of its shell a bit. Sounds logical i guess.
