Axel is looking good Ryen
Yep Axel looks like a big unit. Who is the solid black?
Yep Inti doing his thing Rushy. I think the solid black will be owned by Gail Blankley
I see deer fence where is the deer pics?
It doesnt have deer there just goats and sheep -pheasant and bob white -nice little 20 acre property -Its in the back of Massey in Auckland
No deer. The fencing is for the dogs.
Yeah axels getting big and training up well. Not as big as James' boy though.
The solid black is Gail's bitch pup from the same litter.
Dunno, axel has shot up recently but ever since they were born Oskar has been notably bigger so I was figuring that trend would continue.
I always feel a bit saddened driving round and seeing all the deer fenced lifestyle blocks with sheep, cattle, emus, lamas, alpacas etc and no deer :(

Theres a garden center out Golden Valley / life style block .First time I was persuaded to go out on turning into the drive noticed deer fence. Next thing I saw at the top end of drive ,they had their own little heard of about 20 Fallow deer. All happily beded down mid arvo ,with a couple of exceptional bucks in the mob.No problem getting me to go to the Garden center any more.
call back pen there not sure how many but RCGSP says theyre laying everywhere but not sure of success rate

That one was actually built by Alan Cowden. It's a lot more complex than the ones I used in the states when I was releasing bobwhites but it works very well.
I'm going to do some simpler ones down south when I head back down.
Any feedback / comments on the feeders attached to the doors? I've read that similar ones can be wasteful if the birds are a bit over-enthusiastic and scratch the feed out and onto the floor or through the wire netting?
Yeah there's a bit of waste but no worse than any other feeders I've used. They're nice because they don't foul and don't have to be refilled very often.
Really the idea with the houses is that the birds go out and feed and the feeders are only there as a backup.
Do you recall what brand the feeders are and where they're available from?
Looks like a speaker attached to the house. Do you use a sound recording of a cock-bird to bring the birds back at night? Rather than an actual call-back bird?
Alan would be the one to talk to re: the details of getting the equipment here as he's the one that sourced it
GunDog Accessories Ltd
Yeah the speaker functions as the call back bird
