Canine Influenza?
We had a nationwide outbreak, and this is a fairly big country. There is a two-part vaccine for it that seems effective, so all five of my loafers got the full course.
Are you good folks seeing anything like this show up? I sure hope not, since it has a very high mortality rate and is awful on the dogs; they suffer badly.

Quick answer for NZ to my understanding is no, not these days
Breeders and vets are active with a range of shots though “parvovirus” is the scary one to avoid before pups are treated
Is pretreatment not a normal thing up your ways?

Our quarantine kennels was on lockdown last month while they dealt with a incident from an infected dog.... all clear now.
An example of why our boarder controls work..... pain in the arse for dogs being imported but the bigger picture is far more important.
