took red for a run and swim in the rdr done it a thousand times
takes a detour 3 feet the wrong way sucked under aint seen him since cant even get his body back to bury untill i can get someone to shut it down or at least reduce the flow.:O_O::XD::oh noes:bye bye you crazy run all day brilliant at times little bastard

aggravating tho you could be probably mostly my fault you were a good mate who filled a whole left by my old elvis.

Thats shit mate...I have wiped a few tears over the last wee bit and I have never met you or your dog.

At least you didnt have to make a call on putting him down....I was close on my oldest dog about a year ago..he improved thankfully, Now I have two old dogs that struggle to do a 800m walk round the block......poor old buggers I dont think I can make them sleep outside for another winter.:(:(:(

I lost 2 of my best dogs after being packed both on different occasion & both times when I was away last one the ex missz let my wee 3yo champ (who was my boys pup) off to wander around the house with her meat head guard dog while she was inside stoking her bong ...no neighbours around to ask for help she basically just watched the wee fella mauled to death F#*k I was gutted one of the nicest dogs id had collie/bluehealer .

Terrible news mate, really feeling your pain...

Very Sadened to hear this mate... there's very definitely something about a friendship with a dog, ever since they first shared a fire a tucker with us a millenia ago. Their Trust, basic needs, and forgiveness that makes it simple to understand why the relationship with us they have is so deep and enduring. because at the heart of it we're pretty simple too.

Take comfort from the last point Red doesn't blame you for anything and would ask you to remember the good times instead. I'm sure there's been quite a few of us give our four legged friends and pot-lickers a extra hug or two this weekend after hearing your news. Glad to hear your still keen to share your fire with another one again shortly - they do enhance our lives.

Only just saw this, what a shocking thing to happen. My commiserations to you and your family GSPF

@gsp follower, how I know the pain...the things I think about are all the great things that Dog did, those memorable shooting trips up the river, our trialing experiences and all the rest...doesn't bring Dog back but some adventures certainly are enough to make you smile...one of the greatest comforts in all of these losses is getting a new puppy...not to be treated as a replacement, but a new hunting and home companion...

yep we make them immortal in our memories of a great day together or something silly they did.
its what nonhunters dont get .about our sport they think its all about the killing
its far from that there are birds and dog moments i,l never forget. .
and when we share those things like on here for instance we make them live forever.
