Yep. It is his now.
Kiwijames, Gus was the product of careful selective breeding from a farmer down in Central Otago who wanted to calm down the breed. He picked a big old calm - duckaholic - pig bailing - deer finding machine from Fairlie I recall. His name was Gus Senior. Gus junior - one in the pics here is a very chilled and focused. The resulting pups have been excellent. Longridge bitches have strong hunt lines and recently a new stud who looks awesome, Max.
Gus junior - aka nutsack boy had his manhood removed recently so no more pups from him. There's a twist in the story and the Otago line.
Gus's mum Sasha, 10 year old - very biddable, solid hunter and relaxed got jumped by the stations top heading dog recently ( an interesting accident )
5 GSP X strong eyed heading dog pups are on the ground. Hell they don't know whether to round the deer up or indicate them. So far they're looking real good and calm too, just like mum. :) They will go up for sale here real soon. I'll post some pics and details of these diesel units to those interested in a deer dog X from good lines. Pups down in HYDE.
@GSP HUNTER, Warwrick you gunna make up to mine next season, usually only have pointer & setter people at mine but will make exceptions for a couple of GSP owners aye @Munsey
Upnorth uplander - Cant wait mate - going to put in alot more training on the G dog and tighten up our game this year on the roosters particularly. The Canadian needs a a new camo fit out too. Bring on bird season...
The dog can smell a full moon tonight.;)
