What is the best way to stop your dog getting grubby in those situations... do you carry a brush and shampoo or just brush in the field and then shampoo once home?
I'm not always funny... Last duckshooting season I chipped a nail while reaching for my Latte and there was a serious tantrum.... it's not all glamour this show world.....

Had a mini dachshund once, she had a hellava appetite. Here she is finishing up a red stag.

I am horrified by what you suggest... Some of you hunting people are just so, so... well crass... there i said it... I didn;t want to be nasty but you pushed me to it.... I think you're probably not much better than the horrible fat man I ran into in the park today. He claimed his dog was a "Proper Springer" but it was clearly a cross with some mongrel pig dog breed. The horror of it all....
I managed to snap a picture before he left....

Spiker Give that poor skinny dog a feed you cruel bugger :)
Uplander looks like the pup has made herself at home, like the running shot of the two of them. Very photogenic!
As for the pointer pics, how old is spotty in the those ones? Certainly a little greyer in the face now
