That is a tough day.
The tragedy starts when they come home with you as a puppy, for dogs just don't live long enough.
I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope the day arrives soon when you can think of her and just smile.
Good girl Tilly, hunt em up.

As Flyblown said,"a proper good dog" I loved seeing Her grinning beside Her Deer.
RIP Tilly, your gave her one hell of a life mate
Sad news....a forum legend....rest easy Tilly
Sorry to hear that news Tahr, she has had one hell of a good life with you.
But man, what a life she lived. You can rest easy knowing that you gave her the best life a hunting dog and companion can have. RIP.
Arrrr crap news Tahr I’m sure you will miss her like hell:( I’m also sure that for the next few hunts you will be looking over your shoulder to see where she is……just up around the next bend:)
It certainly hurts @Tahr, our little dog of 15 years was euthanised while we were on holiday down south, my wife was so upset. We collected her from the vet once home and put her to rest in Kinloch. I walked through the door tonight and asked where Millie was, cutting it short when it was half way out. They certainly are great mates and good company. I feel your pain, RIP Tilly, she certainly was a great dog, I enjoyed your escapades with her
I feel for you Tahr, bloody hard time for you. Like others have said you gave her one hell of a good life, doesn't make it easier I know but remember all the good times shared.
That's the worst news I have heard for a long time, such a great duo the pair of you were. If there is an afterlife hopefully you two will meet again. RIP Tilly
So saddened to hear this B. (sorry late to this -it's been a busy week.)
One of life's shortcomings is that the Dogs we love don't have the same lifespan to match our own.
So we must appreciate each good day, cherish the memories and honour their connection with us.
You repaid that honour many times over allowing her to do what she loved so very much.
It's a hard thing to do to let them go - but it comes from place of love and respect.
When it came time you did the best thing possible for her.
Kia mate toa Tilly.
Seize the day - Remember those great memories shared.
P.
Sorry to hear! Sounds like a great girl with a pretty good record to her name!
So sorry to see this Bruce :oh noes:
She had such a lovely nature - always sneaking up to get an extra scratch or cuddle.
Condolences to you and the rest of the family.
