vizsla acting strange
My 4 year old vizsla bitch has been acting strange the last couple of hunts and am after a bit of advice, she normally will walk by my side the whole hunt never wants to be more than a few metres away...... 2 hunts ago was walking along and noticed her not there looked back and she had stopped about 2oo metres behind me and no amount of calling or coaxing could get her to come to me I walked back to her and she was super excited when I got to her like she had just seen me for first time, she did this a few times I ended up putting on lead for rest of hunt, next hunt she did same thing stopped this time I managed to call her to me once she got to me she then turned and ran as fast as she could back in the direction we had came I had to retrace my steps almost back to ute and finally managed to get her to come to a whistle, when I got her back she had a weird look in her eyes, the flys seem to bother her quite a bit am wondering if they are what is making her act like this trying to get away from them, has anybody had anything similar happen or can offer any advice. thanks

sounds similar to what happened to a little spaniel bitch i had with her it was getting frightened by a full on barrage at a practise shoot she was fine with guns uptill then.??
were you armed??she,s definatly got a fright of some kind??
could she have been stung wasps or bee,s was she ok on the lead not lagging or timid and yelping??
