Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Tyou only need the last reason, the others are just a bonus.
Don't forget food tester and dishwasher.
They can make a fair pillow on occasion too.
Great for conversation when you don't feel like talking.
This is a true story. Back country hut.Hunter there with dog on bottom bunk. Loopies came in and started to roundly abuse hunter about dog in hut. Late at night. Pause in the ranting of the loopies. All you could hear was a round being chambered. Deadly quiet. Next you heard was sound of disappearing footsteps out the hut door. In the morning gentle smile on the dudes face. We were leaving with plenty of meat and just cracked up when we got far enough away from the hut.
why i have a dog:
costs a lot
likes the mrs
cheaper than kids
apart from that "mouse" is useless.
still wont get rid of her though, but hell i miss my last dog
i should point out why i sometimes like "mouse" . being a border collie x she is intelligent and exploits the fact
so wife take her to dog school, she learns sit, stay, down etc.
i taught her on the word "centrefold" to lay on her back with all four legs spread. and now if she wants a treat biscuit she just does it.
end of the day i kinda like her, smallest dog i have ever owned, first female i ever owned.
its an experience to be sure
I own a dog because life is just somehow poorer without one.

Own 2 then you have 2 friends. Dogs are a synonym*for companionship and mental health experts.
Someone sent me this, Sums it up pretty well....................at least for me.
JUST A DOG
From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a dog,”
or “that’s a lot of money for just a dog.”
They don’t understand the distance traveled, the time spent,
or the costs involved for “just a dog.”
Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a dog.”
Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a dog,”
but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by
“just a dog,” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch
of “just a dog” gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it’s “just a dog,” then you probably understand
phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.”
“Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship,
trust, and pure unbridled joy.
“Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience
that make me a better person.
Because of “just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a dog”
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,
the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
“Just a dog” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that its’ not “just a dog”
but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being
“just a man” or “just a woman.”
So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog,”
just smile, because they “just don’t understand.”
