    Take a learner on. Every industry wants experience. But you can't get it if nobody it training.
    At least you end up with exactly what you want with no bad habits.

    We are taking on an apprentice this week and I'm surprised at the calibre of young people we have seen.

    I need someone with skills that I dont have, the cad/cam side of things. My days are so busy its getting a struggle to set and run the cnc gear, we needs someone that can hit the shop floor running, they need to be able to run all the cnc gear without me being there.

    You guys are lucky, the engineering company i used to work for, we had a few young guys through the doors over the years and only one of them was any good.
