you get a 3 year certificate .
then a 5 year medal .... every 2 years after that 5 you get a silver bar ...
at 14 years you get your long service and good conduct medal , every 7 years after that you get a rosette on the ribbon
at 25 years you get your gold star ... and then every 2 years after that you get a gold bar ... the gold star trumps your 5 year medal , so you dont get silver bars anymore .
and if you stay in long enough you get another gold star at 50 years service
