i bet they do to, means more funding to spread around on everything else as there isn't anyone at the top taking profits out of the organisation.

More funds for training & equipment which at the end of the day helps the public, win for all concerned i think but that is just my positive outlook on it.

If you want to work for no wages and can travel away from Papakura, I've got a few things you could do. I can arrange for you to work after hours and weekends too.

I might even be able to get you a pager to call you when I need you as well.

I can't pay you to sleep like the real firemen though.

Is it going to be as enjoyable as the stuff I do in the Fire Service though?

My current job is dangerious enough. I don't need an unpaid job that is also dangerous.
    Good luck finding someone.

Anyway, I think this conversation is getting a little bit off the top of this thread

I do it as a community minded thing, along with Land ARS, Coast guard, Medical response and other voluntary organisations that I'm involved in, only difference now is, I'm paid as a RFO during the fire season.

Either Silverdale or Manly (or both) have got them set up. Pretty sure it is on Ipad. One of the Silverdale SO travels for Chubb and pretty sure he goes your way.
A group of them are stomping around Abel Tasman Park and will call him later in the week
