    No, but it's about what you want to start on until you have your technique down. Holding 30lb back on the side of your face time after time wears you out pretty quickly and your form goes to shit as a result. 40 or 45lb is the minimum permitted for taking game here I think, but check local rules. Learning on say a 50lb recurve will be a big ask.
