Anyone Using a .40 Tanfo Limited Custom in Standard Division?

I can't afford a 2011 so looking at the Limited Custom as an option. I would appreciate any feedback from people that have shot these in 40S&W

    Cheers!

I brought a Para 16-40 to get around the price issue of a 2011 and also the Tanfog.

These come up second hand from time to time for around $1k.

I watched a limited custom extreme get used yesterday in our mini match. The user normally beats me, but not this time. There was an issue with the gun, but all guns have issues from time to time and the problem was not specific to the Tanfog either.

    They are pretty though!

If getting a Glock for Standard, get a G35 and add a Tooth and Nail thumb rest.

At the moment the Tanfoglio is in a state of disrepair after mil-speccing it and not getting around to reassembling it. Be aware that getting a base LC model and trying to later retrofit xtreme sear hammer combo may require fitting...not plug and play.
Tanfoglio in recent year has gone for putting a spacer in the back of 40S&W mags so you have to load the rounds short so slightly more barky unless you get some 10mm mags and do some tinkering with the follower.
They shoot pretty good. They were for years a bit of an oddity as the local agent didn't really push them, only when GunsNZ took over dealership have their numbers increased. There aren't the same numbers of aftermarket component manufacturers that there are for 2011s. That being said getting most parts from Eric Graufell's shop and Tanfoglio in Italy is easy, no DoS export permits in the mix.
I wouldn't go the glock route especially for standard division, 40 S&W at major PF can be a snappy round combined with a light polymer frame meh.

Thanks for the info guys. The glock comment was not serious I'm just going to keep waiting for a 2nd hand 2011 for a bit longer before I commit to anything.
@Mufasa from what I've been reading it sounds like the best route with the LC is buy a base model and add an xtreme sear, titan hammer and patriot defense bolo interrupter.

That is exactly what I did , and how I know fitting may and probably will be required. If you aren't confident in taking a file/dremel to your sear maybe avoid. I've been trying to find out if there is a geometry change between the sear and xtreme sear most say no on is just more polished up than the other so a dremel with buffing head and some metal polish...though it goes without saying if replacing the sear or hammer get news ones of both at the same time. I was told after I bought it that the bolo interuptor is for double action pistols (read USPSA production division where they can play with stuff that IPSC can't). The problem with second hand standard guns especially 2011's is that they are typically owned by guys that have been around the block and have thrashed them.
