    Brass-less brass

Have any of you guys seen Shooting Sports USA asks,

Looks like the future of ammo cases.
I'm long overdue purchasing new 9mm brass so watching this stuff closely, just need someone that can import it. I've contacted the manufacturer direct but need to go through ITAR permits

    Looks interesting.
Would be nice to come home from a shoot with close to the amount of brass you left with.

I had 2 of the best wheel gun guys in my squad at whanganui.

I would never get that fast with one.

No. I didn't shoot second day because @Ozzy and @nzfubz took me to a dodgy restaurant😆

Na. Think I brought something back from PNG as I am still a bit crook.

Those 2 bums I mentioned did real well tho.
Ozzy won overall standard and nzfubz won A grade.

I was going to change my name to Mike at one point. 😆

Had a good time away and looking forward to the next shoot already.

Actually I think it was a secondary hang over from the whiskey the night before that turned @R93 into a snoring hibernating bear was a well run comp long way to go finished 34% behind @Ozzy

Pretty mean hangover as I am still not right. But yeah, the whiskey didn't help matters. 😆

You can talk on the snoring. Took me longer to pack in the morning coz all my gear got sucked out of the room and blown around the lounge😆

Who needs to train when you can just poison the competition, worked in the rugby that time didn't it?

Also, on the topic, the issue I can see is that most matches you don't get all your brass anyway. You'll look like an open shooter scrounging in the mud for every last case.

It might be a while, if ever, for me to be competition for the likes of yourself unless of course you develop a taste for whiskey and sleep in till noon every shoot😆

On topic. I would have lost a 100 cases this trip. No one picked them up like they did in Otago where I was up around a hundy😆 Everyone was just in a rush to get thru the stages.

It really depends on your squad, ideally someone will pickup a good amount of brass after you have shot, while you have a look at your targets.

I tend to prioritise checking targets and cleaning/refilling my mags over brass, any I lose just gets added to the cost of attending the match. Just stock up a few thousand more than you think you'll need and you won't worry about it so much in future. :p

I always just offset the cost of match entry by weka'ing all the unpicked brass. Works great in South Island matches because the NI boys usually don't bother taking brass home.

Depends on what brass you pick up. If it's 9mm there is always a good chance its been loaded to major and its stuffed, hence why it's left behind.
