Belmont Ammo have the best deal financially that I have found. 1000 rounds in a tin delivered for $360.00. That said I haven't purchased any so can't tell you about quality except I use their .223 and have been happy with them.
Oh cool I’ve used Belmont before and it was fine
I got a pile of 9mm off Victor before he died, and then one of these not long ago. They really are the ducks nuts. Feed it 12c Rusa cmj, never have to worry about warranty issues, and you are more or less guaranteed to get 80% of new price for it when you sell it (you won't). Pays for itself in 4400 rounds (ish)

Hahaha fair call, there were beers involved  Cost new: $850 odd. Price for loaded ammo $0.39 to $0.64 per round (bought by the couple of hundred local to 1000+ from a bulk type dealer). Load the Rusa for: $0.12 for the projectile, $0.07 for primer, $0.035 for titegroup, brass for nothing, total $0.225. So, a saving of between 16.5c to 41c over loaded ammo, depending what when who etc, meaning between 2080 and 5150 rounds to pay off the blue rapist. OR, to pay the difference between brand new shop floor vs 80% of that price on the second hand market, 500 to 1000 if you decide it isn't your thing.
My math is $0.12 projectile, $0.04 primer $0.03 Belmont WAP compared to factory ammo at $0.36-0.39, add $0.1 for selling once fire 9mm brass leaves $0.07/round difference, over 12,000 rounds to payback that $850 press. Cast your own bullets makes it more profitable, if I wasn't shooting major I'd buy factory
@Rushy do you do the mail order form direct or is there some where in Auckland to go and buy it in person?
And yes I do have a 650 and heaps of components, and since moving house - the press set up, the time to set it up, or the desire to set it up...... the 650's are bloody brilliant though
double post....
I load 7 different calibers on my progressive press. I think all up it has cost me close to $1500 bucks for the press and all the bits to load those calibers.
I can load 223 around half the cost per round than the cheapest I can buy it.
Pretty sure the quality of round is way superior to any cheap round I can buy as well.
I have bulk bought 30000 small rifle and small pistol primers since I have had the press and I am over half way thru those. Pretty sure my press has paid for itself if I was to compare the cost of factory ammo[emoji16]

I reckon I can do 9mm for somewhere $0.225 to $0.25 a round (not Inc brass) that's still cheaper than factory if not taking my time into it. However, I also shoot better with the home loads, so it's a double bonus.
