    2nd Amendment briefing paper

Forget the focus on semi autos guys. Itís a lost cause.
More worrying is the next tranche of Arms Act Amendments due later this year.

Look what the Treasury Supplementary analysis paper includes on page 5 and 6.

There are many bolt actions with box magazines... like granddads SMLE. I was joking when I made that comment but the smile has well and truly left my face.

Dark times ahead, everyone. We need to start to get our A into G, as my dad used to say... Lots of work ahead.
    Start looking for:
Examples of data breaches by NZ govt.
Statistics around deaths by firearms compared to other causes
    Cost of registration
Examples of where it hasn't worked

Start thinking about how we can improve our public image as responsible and law abiding citizens.
This wave caught us unawares, but we won't be able to say we didn't have time for the next wave.

Effectively all detachable magazines, FFS that eliminates about 90% of the firearms in NZ.

i would be more worried about not been able to privately sell a firearm. Just see it now we will give you a $100 trade in but hang on the price o f importing has gone up so we now selling howas and tikkas are now $2000

Hopefully this will be sent around by the likes of COLFO, perhaps then HnF, Fish and Game, and Federated farmers will start working together.

It doesn't even make sense for E-cat or restricted firearms. Give a person a licence to possess, store and used safely (in other words you trust that person) but then suddenly only trust gunshops (who have displayed a remarkable knack for self preservation and furthering their agendas) to do the right thing? Even worse for owners of a bolt or lever gun... Such a change will be disastrous for every firearm owner.

Then we get things like Zastava M85 which can be either a M98 bolt action or Kalashnikov clone. Not particularly helpful nomenclature...

The wishes of monopolistic gun stores and the long practice of suppliers bullying independents for their favorite big customers needs to be ended immediately, by us.

If the plan on using these new laws to rip us off, then I think we should be ready for that.
